Agree on the chatbot before it becomes a fight.
Half of US adults in a recent survey called a partner’s romantic AI use cheating. Third Wheel helps you both say what’s fine, what needs telling and what’s off-limits, then writes it down.

A guided ‘AI agreement’ for couples when one partner talks to a chatbot.
Couples now set rules about a partner’s chatbot the way others set the terms of an open relationship. Third Wheel gives each partner a private questionnaire, shows where you disagree, and guides one structured conversation. You finish with a signed AI Agreement and a check-in 30 days later.
- Step 01
You each answer in private
Two private questionnaires, one each, done on your own time: what the chatbot is for, what feels fine and what would hurt.
- Step 02
We show where you disagree
Agents compare your answers, find the gaps and turn them into a conversation script you follow together.
- Step 03
You sign an AI Agreement
A written agreement in both your words: what’s fine, what needs telling, what’s off-limits, and a review date. We check in after 30 days.
Built for couples where one partner talks to an AI.
Two private questionnaires
One for each partner, answered alone, so neither of you has to say it first.
A structured conversation script
Built from where your answers differ, so the talk stays on the points that matter.
A signed AI Agreement
What’s fine, what needs telling, what’s off-limits and when to review it, with a check-in 30 days later.
First up: A free quiz you both take, “Is your partner’s chatbot cheating?”, that shows exactly where your answers differ.
The world just changed.
What changed, and where it was reported.
In a survey of 1,709 US adults, 50.5% said a partner’s romantic AI relationship is cheating and 21.2% said it is not cheating but uncomfortable.
Cyprus MailIn the same survey, 80.6% of current companion users said it could be cheating. The column argues couples must agree in advance on what counts.
Cyprus MailA UQAM study of 1,815 Canadian adults found about half see a partner’s romantic companion use as infidelity, with reactions as strong as to dating apps or webcams.

What a person does
Third Wheel is not therapy. A person sets the abuse, coercion and crisis escalation policy, and we keep a hand-off list of licensed couples therapists for anything bigger than one agreement.
Is this couples therapy?
No. It’s a guided tool for one specific conversation. If something bigger comes up, we point you to licensed couples therapists.
What if one of us feels pressured?
We screen the answers for signs of abuse or coercion. If we see them, we don’t write an agreement; we refer you to people who can help.
What happens to our answers?
We keep as little as we can about either of you, and delete your answers once the agreement is delivered.
